About the Support Desk
The Compliance Checker Support Desk is designed to support public interest actors investigating cases linked to environmental and social impacts in commodity supply chains. Depending on the nature of the request, support may include satellite imagery analysis, geolocation, supply chain research, company linkage analysis, case contextualisation, identification of relevant datasets, and other forms of evidence gathering.
To ensure that requests can be appropriately assessed and prioritised, applicants are asked to provide information about the case under investigation, the support needed, and how the requested assistance would contribute to public interest objectives.
In case of a high number of requests, priority may be given to requests from organisations and groups operating in producer countries, as well as to those demonstrating significant potential to support affected communities, advance accountability efforts, or generate broader public-interest value.
Who can request support?
The Support Desk is intended for civil society organisations, investigative journalists, legal organisations, Indigenous Peoples and local community organisations/associations, grassroots groups, researchers, and other public interest actors engaged in accountability and investigative work.
